We take your privacy very seriously and have established this privacy policy to share that commitment with you. The types of information we collect depend on how you use our Products. This policy describes the information we process to deliver Impactree and the website impactree.com to you. Impactree is committed to protecting the privacy of our visitors and users. Impactree has created this privacy policy to explain how Impactree (or “we”) use information that we collect from you while you visit the Impactree.com website, currently located at www.impactree.com (the “Site”), or any other affiliated website owned by Impactree. What Kind of Information Do We Collect?
When you join and use Impactree, join our newsletter, or take any other action on this Site or in any email or communication, we may ask you to give us personal information including but not limited to your name, address, email address, telephone number, issues or interest, opinion on various issues, age, political party affiliation, and more. Most information we ask for is optional and is designed to help deliver more applicable content in line with you and your interests. We may also obtain information about you from outside sources or partner sites and combine it with the information we collect through this Site.
We collect information about the people, pages, and groups you are connected to and how you interact with them across our Products, such as groups you are part of. We also collect information about users who have been invited by you and are part of your network. We collect information about how you use our Products, such as the types of content you view or engage with; the features you use; the actions you take; the people or groups you interact with; and the time, frequency and duration of your activities. For example, we log which actions you have completed on Impactree and which actions you have skipped. We also track how often you share various aspects of the Impactree service.
If you create an account on the Site, or you complete an action without creating an account, your usage information will be stored by Impactree on servers in the United States and associated with a randomly assigned code containing no personally identifiable information. This randomly assigned code will be used again on subsequent visits to the Site, determined either by your IP address or login credentials.
How We Use Your Information
We use your email address and phone number to send you news and information about Impactree.com and issues concerning your state or district issues, to measure the effectiveness of our programs, and to send you timely reminders via email and SMS/text message. By providing your email address and mobile phone number on the Site, you agree to receive emails and text messages from Impactree.com to your various devices and the mobile phone number with which you enroll. You certify that your mobile number provided is true and accurate and that you are authorized to enroll the designated mobile number to receive such text messages. You acknowledge and agree that the text messages may be sent using an automatic telephone dialing system and that standard message and data rates apply. You may unsubscribe from text messages at any time by replying “STOP” to any text message you receive from Impactree.com. For help, text “HELP” to any text message you receive from Impactree.com. You consent that following such a request to unsubscribe, you may receive one final text message from Impactree.com confirming your request.
In order to send you personalized, periodic, and triggered updates about the Site via email, we send your email address, your referral information, your full name, zip code, state, city, and information regarding some of the actions you have taken on the Site, to Mailchimp, which stores this information on their servers in the United States.
URLs contained in emails may contain an ID that enables us to correctly identify the person who takes an action using a web page. We use these URLs to track user impact and reach, and simplify the process of signing up and filling out surveys. We may occasionally present a shortened URL that references a longer URL which you can see in the browser’s address bar when you access the page. By using the Site, you consent to the processing of data by Mailchimp in the manner and for the purposes set out above, as well as additional manners and purposes contained in Mailchimp’s Privacy Policy, which we encourage you to review.
Your site usage data, such as which actions you have completed, which groups you join, and which users are a member of your network, will be used to inform the Site on how to better serve relevant content to the Site’s user base, and to populate reports provided to the companies and organizations who purchase the Site’s services. We do not include your name, address, zip code, email address, or phone number in these reports. However, your IP address may be de-identified to provide an approximation of your location while preserving your anonymity. By using this Site, you consent to the processing of data by Impactree in the manner and for the purposes set out above.

Impactree.com uses industry standard security measures to protect the information collected by this Site, but we cannot guarantee complete security.
Use of services by minors
Impactree.com is committed to protecting the privacy of children who visit this website and does not knowingly solicit or collect personally identifying information from children under 13 years of age. We will promptly remove any personal information from children under 13 upon notice to us. Children under the age of 13 should ask their parent or legal guardian for assistance when using Impactree.com and should not submit any personally identifying information to Impactree.com.
Sharing with Third-Party Partners
We work with third-party partners who help us provide and improve our Products or who use out tools to grow their organizations, groups or causes which makes it possible to operate our companies and provide free services to people around the world. We don’t sell any of your information to anyone, and we never will. We also impose strict restrictions on how our partners can use and disclose the data we provide. Advertisers
We provide advertisers with reports about the kinds of people seeing their actions or ads and how their actions or ads are performing, but we don’t share information that personally identifies you (information such as your name or email address that by itself can be used to contact you or identifies who you are) unless you give us permission. For example, we provide general demographic and interest information to advertisers (for example, that an action or ad was seen by a woman between the ages of 25 and 34 who lives in California) to help them better understand their audience. We also confirm which Impactree actions or ads led you to take an action with an advertiser.
Cookies and Data Tracking
In order to better serve our users, we use cookies and periodically analyze web logs. Some cookies are used to pre-populate forms for you so that on repeat visits to the Site you don’t need to re-enter certain information. You can set your browser to disable cookies, but you may not be able to access certain parts of the Site.

We use Hotjar in order to better understand our users’ needs and to optimize this service and experience. Hotjar is a technology service that helps us better understand our users’ experience (e.g. how much time they spend on which pages, which links they choose to click, what users do and don’t like, etc.) and this enables us to build and maintain our service with user feedback. Hotjar uses cookies and other technologies to collect data on our users’ behavior and their devices. This includes a device’s IP address (processed during your session and stored in a de-identified form), device screen size, device type (unique device identifiers), browser information, geographic location (country only), and the preferred language used to display our website. Hotjar stores this information on our behalf in a pseudonymized user profile. Hotjar is contractually forbidden to sell any of the data collected on our behalf.

Impactree.com partners with other organizations to provide you with valuable tools and resources. Our partners are very committed to your privacy and have their own Privacy policies. This Privacy Policy does not apply to any external websites not owned and operated by Impactree. Third party sites will have their own policies which may be different from ours and we recommend that you check the privacy policy of each site that you visit and choose to use at your own discretion.
Disclosure of information
Impactree.com will challenge any attempt to gain access to the information you give us by government agencies or private organizations. In the unlikely event that we are required by law to disclose any of your information we will do our best to contact you first so that you may have the opportunity to object to the disclosure. We will also independently object to any requests for access to information about users of our Site that we believe to be improper.
How do the Impactree organizations work together?
Impactree and the Impactree.com website is a program owned and operated by VotePlus10 Inc.
Impactree and the Impactree.com website is also resource used by Impactree’s nonprofit arm, a project with fiscal sponsorship from MarinLink, a registered 501(c)3, as well as Impactree Foundation, also a standalone 501(c)3 organization.
Both Impactree and Impactree Foundation’s nonprofit activities are focused on encouraging more active involvement in political, social and environmental issues.
How can I manage or delete information about me?
We provide you with the ability to manage your personal information on the account tab when logged into your Impactree account. We store personal data until it is no longer necessary to provide our services and Impactree products, or until your account is deleted – whichever comes first. When you delete your account, we delete all personal information and you won’t be able to recover that information later. You may also request that we delete any personal information that we have collected from/about you.
